For a few years we have considered the possibility of producing a saddle rail that extended most of the length of the barrel. Of little practical utility, such a rail would be useful for those who wanted to use carbine-style BUIS systems or nigh vision optics. The rail would also allow optics to be mounted well in front of the receiver, if desired. But actually producing a long rail was never a priority as we scrambled to keep Mesa Tactical's standard products in stock.
