The blade is made of high quality VG-10 steel (middle layer) and 66 layers folded Damascus steel with a hardness of 59-60 Rockwell. The 66 layers include 34 layers of SUS 430 and 32 layers of SUS 431 stainless steel.
In total, 67 layers of finest damascus steel.
The handle is made from Ebony wood, hence it should not be put into the dish washer.
The thimble is made of VG-10 steel and a hygienic passage between blade and handle. The sharp blade has a Japanese V-grinding which makes the sharpening with a whetstone possible. The knife comes with a beautiful and excellent wooden box. Weight of the box: 480g
